Jeez, loads of Star Wars news at the moment:
Disney confirms standalone Star Wars films may be released between new core episodes Rumour is the first one will be about Yoda. Maybe we'll finally find out about his species/home planet and how he became a Jedi! What other characters/events would people like to see in these additional standalone films? Personally I would love to see a Han Solo origins movie based on A. C. Crispin's Han Solo Trilogy.

I'd go for one about the old republic, possibly the Mandalorian Wars but as I am skeptical about Disney owning Star Wars, I'm not sure If I trust them to do it right.

Always remember, we trusted Lucas to do it and all we got was Jar Jar Binks and the part of Anakin played by a department store mannequin. And, to further drive the knife (if you don't like the series)- you also got the CGI Clone Wars show.
Two points: 1) I'd like to remain cautiously optimistic: if Disney doesn't orient it towards an audience under the age of 12, we'll get decent movies. (And let's be honest, you really can't sink any lower than Episode I.) 2) A new idea/storyline is exactly that- something we haven't seen before. EU-based could be interesting, but that's just retelling a story we already know. Personally, I'm with Republic at War as far as timeline- Old Republic and Mandalorians would be nice. Likely? Probably not.

We might even be lucky enough to have Disney release the Non-Special editions on BluRay.

If they put another thing on hold, send the 501st, 212th, 41st, no wait, send the combine might of the GAR, Seps, Imps, and Rebels after them!
If they don't continue work on 1313, it may be a while before see another SW game. Or at least a very small number.

I'm just hoping that they buy (or rent, I don't know how it works) the Engine that Ironclad uses for the Sins series, and builds EAW the way it could have been.

Yeah its on hold, my guess is they'll can it since it wasn't going to be hitting the demographic disney aims for when it makes game :/
