It's funny how vocals work in our band, basically everyone but the drummer has a vocal line in our live set. We usually harmonize with the lead vocalist here and there. In the studio naturally we just use the same vocalist for every part.
The screaming vocalist just kinda jumps around, generally just being a front man for the audience until his verses come up.

Interesting dynamic indeed, but it sure seems to work so it doesnt seem to be an issue for you guys, maybe you should get them to learn the tin pipe or something so they can alternate with it when the other one is singing

By the way I'm working with a local hip hop group called "Rogue Squadron" on an EP, you guys might find the music pretty entertaining. I use a TON of samples from Star Wars in each beat.
